war is a spirtual War, a War over what people believe, what they say,
what they do, and what they are willing to die for.' -The Calling, by Brother Andrew

History
- Alomus
has a long and honorable history, filled with selfless kings and
sacraficing heroes. Alomus was founded on God, a mission of faith to
settle a remote and dragon-infested peninsula. The country of
Alomus began in Alturas. The peninsula of Inden had been largely unexplored because of dragons and such living on what is now Alomus, and also Umbar and Cellos. The explorer Dain, son of Ketim, finally went across the Iolem Ocean from West Echon
with four ships fully stocked and ready for a long battle and hold out.
They prayed through the whole thing, it is said, even down to what kind
of food to bring. Ninty men among all the ships and twenty-seven wives
of the sailors, along with seventeen children boarded the four ships in
401 B.L. on a sunny day and never returned to West Echon.
Thirty-five years later another ship loaded with provisions and prayer-filled people left Fa Jome, a country north of West Echon. A young man by the name of Achim was among the passengers on the second known attempt at settling the wild western lands. This attempt worked, and they actually found the survivors of the first voyage near what is now the Gulf of Andrast and were able to send back a message to their friends and reletives about what had happened.
In the years following, many people from many countries came to Alomus freely, all believers and hoping for a better life for their children. The center of activity was Alturas, having a sheltered bay nearby and natural resources nearby. Other cities and centers of comerce were established as the people rose up and chose a king. It was a very careful thing, and finaly a prophet who had come over on the second voyage recomended Achim. He became king under the prepostion that this was purely a man to take charge of certain things the people needed, like laws, things about trade and immigrants, etc. This is still in the code of how the Alomus kings rule now.
